Copyright Claim Disputes
Last Updated: December 23, 2025
If your content has been subject to a copyright claim filed by Unreal Protect on behalf of Epic Games or Unreal Engine creators, and you believe the claim was made in error, you may submit a dispute for review.
Dispute Process Overview
We take copyright disputes seriously and review each case carefully. If you believe that content has been incorrectly identified or removed due to a claim filed by Unreal Protect, you may file a dispute to request reconsideration or retraction of the claim.
Eligibility for Dispute
You may file a dispute if:
- You believe you have proper authorization or licensing for the content in question
- The content is original work that does not infringe on Unreal Engine intellectual property
- You believe the claim was filed in error or based on incorrect information
- The content falls under fair use or other legal exceptions to copyright
How to Submit a Dispute
To file a copyright claim dispute or request a retraction, please send a detailed email to our dispute resolution team:

Possible Outcomes

Counter-Notification Rights
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), you may also file a counter-notification directly with the platform (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) where the content was posted. Each platform has its own counter-notification process. Filing a dispute with Unreal Protect does not replace or fulfill the requirements for a formal DMCA counter-notification with the platform.

Warning: Submitting false or fraudulent dispute claims may result in legal consequences, including liability for damages, attorney fees, and costs. By submitting a dispute, you acknowledge that you understand the legal implications of providing false information.
